WHAT IS THE GREATEST THREAT, IN THE LAST DAYS?
- Nuclear War – WWIII?
- Economic Doom – the loss of financial security/job?
- Persecution / Martyrdom?
Perspective:
· Yahweh says, “don’t fear him that killeth the body… rather fear Him that kills both body and soul…” – the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The single most important reason we breathe is to LIVE… Our life here isn’t living… this is probation… living is what comes next.
Deception is the single biggest threat!
· To be protected from darkness, we must love the Light (Word of Yahweh)
· John 3:19-20 - And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.”
o To Love Light = Loving Truth found in the Word of Yahweh
o To love darkness = Choosing sin and rejecting reproof, being unwilling to change to align one’s life with the Word of Yahweh.
· John 12:35 – “Then Yahshua said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.”
2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 – “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
· Deceivableness of unrighteousness = eternal Death
· Deceivableness of unrighteousness is causes by not loving Truth
· Loving Truth = eternal Life / Salvation
· The Path to Life is walked by living in every ray of Light that we are given (it’s a blessing) – and continuing to seek more Light.
o Seek Light (Truth) and never reject an opportunity for Light
A love of Truth is Heaven’s only Shield! When we love Truth (Light), Yahweh promises we will be protected from Deception. When we fail to love the Truth, we will surely be deceived – because we cannot outsmart “strong delusions”.
How to Study the Bible to Find the Truth:
Proper Bible Study Technique –
At the Start of Studying any Topic Get a Bone Structure:
· Bone #1: First Text - Find the first place in the Bible where this topic is mentioned (it’s in Torah – Isaiah 8:20)
· Bone #2: Last Text – Find the last place in the Bible where this topic is mentioned…
o Use these two Scriptures (the Mouth of 2 Witnesses) to do two things:
o See if it’s a topic that warrants study – because if its Truth it will be found in the bones
§ Example – Lunar Sabbath? If you want to know if an idea has merit, start with looking at the Bones (first and last)
§ In the mouth of 2-3 witnesses, Yahweh’s Word is established.
· Where is the Sabbath first mentioned? – in the Creation Week… In this we find that the Moon was created on the 4th Day, yet the Seventh-day Sabbath is counted from the moonless first day.
· Sabbath keeping in the kingdom – Yahweh’s is the Judge of Sabbath-keeping, not man (history is from the will of man…) (Truth is determined by Scripture, not history)
o Once the bones are established, let them guide the rest of the study – in which you examine/study every Scripture on the topic.
§ Key point: the “flesh” of all the other Scriptures on that topic will never deviate from the bones.
· Use the bones as your “bias” – and when you collect all the other Scriptures on that topic, if you find 1-2 that seem to teach the opposite, know that you need to go with the bones and weight of evidence. Wait to deeper understand the 1-2 aberrations.
The Order of Bible study:
1.
Get the Bones
2.
Search out every Scripture on the topic: looking up key words, looking
up related concepts
a.
If you are studying the Sabbath: the key word would be “Sabbath”
b.
Related concepts would be “seventh-day”, “rest”…
3.
Organize the Scriptures by categories, which are obvious only when you
have all the Scriptures.
4.
Make note of any Scriptures that appear to be in conflict with the
rest.
5.
Go with the weight of evidence.
6.
Prayerfully study the aberrations Scriptures to find what’s wrong in
the English / understanding
After all of this, if you are wanting to determine if a historical documented idea is true, measure it by the outcome of the above 6 steps.
Bible translations are not inspired – the original
Scriptures were inspired… Bibles which convey the original message most clearly
and with the least amount of changes are vital to proper Bible study.
For proper Bible study, your choice of Bibles matters!
There are three main sources in the Bible’s “family tree”, two of which are rooted in the traditions of men and even contain the doctrines of devils. The best family tree for Bible translations is called Textus Receptus. The other two lines are from the Latin Vulgate and the Alexandrian text.
The Latin Vulgate:
·
Many papal doctrines were without any Scriptural support – as late the
4th Century, reformers and Scriptural purists challenged the papal power for
their “unScriptural” teachings. The pope (Pope Damascus I) commissioned Jerome
to revise the popular Latin translation of the Bible.
·
All Scriptures that were from the Textus Receptus line were called
“heretical” – because they plainly exposed Rome’s lies.
The Council of Trent declaration:
The… holy Synod… ordains and declares, that the… Vulgate edition, which...
has been approved of in the Church, be, in public lectures, disputations,
sermons and expositions, held as authentic; and that no one is to dare, or
presume to reject it under any pretext whatever. Furthermore, in order to
restrain petulant spirits, It (The “holy Synod” of the Council of Trent)
decrees, that no one, relying on his own skill, shall... presume to interpret
the said sacred Scripture contrary to... holy mother Church… Contraveners shall
be made known by their Ordinaries (leaders), and be punished with the penalties
by law established.

canons and decrees of the sacred and ecumenical Council of Trent, Trans. J.

Patrick Scrivener, in his online article titled, The Latin Vulgate of
Jerome Unmasked at Last (www.reformation.org/latin-vulgate-unmasked.html)
“The corrupt readings in the Latin Vulgate found their way into the
English, French, Spanish, and Italian Versions.”
The corruption came in the form of doctrinal changes. The following are
some of the doctrinal changes from the original Scriptures made in the Latin
Vulgate:
1)
The Latin Vulgate exalts Simon Peter to a Christ-like level, giving
him titles and authority, which only belong to Yahshua, according to the
original Scriptures. Yahshua called Simon Peter, “Cephas”, which is interpreted
as “a stone.” But, in order to exalt Peter (as the first Pope) to a
Christ-like level (and thereby give precedent for all future popes to enjoy
such elevation), the Latin Vulgate changes Peter from “a stone” to “The
Rock” upon which the Church is built. The Rock is a title of Messiah.
·
1 Corinthians 10:4 “...[The Children of Israel] did all drink the same
spiritual Drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and
that Rock was Christ.”
2) The Latin Vulgate adds the teaching of the Mass and the
Transubstantiation of the communion bread and wine, which weren’t present in
the original Scriptures.
The highlight of the mass is the “transubstantiation” of the communion
emblems, where Catholic Doctrine teaches that the bread and wine become the
literal Body and Blood of Christ. The groundwork for this “miracle” is found in
the Latin Vulgate version. In the “Lord’s Prayer”, Yahshua said: “Give us this
day our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11).
From this statement, the Latin Vulgate tells us to pray for our
supersubstantial bread.
“Give us this day our supersubstantial (Lat. supersubstantialem)
bread.” (Douay-Rheims Version)
If we study from the Latin Vulgate line of Bibles, we can expect to
come into alignment with Catholicism…
Because the papacy changed Scripture to support Catholic doctrine.
The Alexandrian Line of Bibles:
·
It was teachers from Alexandria who disputed with Stephen (the “first”
martyr)… Their teachings were
doctrinally flawed way back then…
Doctrinal changes:
·
The Divinity of Christ
o John 8:58 – “Jesus answered, The
truth is, I existed before Abraham was even born!” New Living Translation
o John 8:58 – “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I
say unto you, Before Abraham was, I Am.” KJV
§
KJV gives
Yahshua a Yahweh Title, as the Great I AM
§
NLT makes
Yahshua only long-living, which the angels and demons are also
o 1 Timothy 3:16 – “By common confession, great is the mystery of
godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in
the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the
world, Taken up in glory.” New American Standard
o 1 Timothy 3:16 – “And without controversy great is the mystery of
godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received
up into glory.” KJV
o Psalm 22:16 – “For dogs are all around me; a company of evildoers
encircles me. My hands and feet have shriveled.” NRSV
o Psalm 22:16
- “For dogs have compassed Me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed
Me: they pierced My hands and My feet.” KJV
Problems with the Authority of Christ:
n Yahshua is called
"Master" forty-six times in the New Testament.
n The NIV uses the term
"teacher" instead of "Master“ for Yahshua.
The
NIV makes Yahshua be the one who fell from Heaven, not Satan
·
The word
"Lucifer" was removed from Isaiah 14:12 and Satan was actually
called, "O morning star," the same title given to Yahshua in the Book
of Revelation.
·
Isaiah 14:12 (NIV) “How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star,
son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low
the nations!
o Revelation 22:16 “I Jesus have sent mine angel
to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the
offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”
·
Isaiah 14:12 (KJV) “How art thou
fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!
How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”
·
The
NIV has removed 16 whole Bible verses!
·
In so
doing the following doctrines are lost: Yahshua is Messiah, the Son of God,
Judgment details, God doesn’t forgive those who fail to forgive others,
Spiritual Warfare principles are lost…
o Luke 17:36 - "Two men shall be
in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left."
o Luke 23:17 - "(For of necessity
he must release one unto them at the feast.)"
o John 5:4 - "For an angel went
down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then
first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever
disease he had."
o Acts 8:37 - "And Philip said,
If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said,
I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."
o Acts 15:34 - "Notwithstanding
it pleased Silas to abide there still."
o Acts 24:7 - "But the chief
captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our
hands,"
o Acts 28:29 - "And when he had
said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among
themselves."
o Romans 16:24 - "The grace of our
Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."
o Matthew 17:21 - "Howbeit this kind
goeth not out but by prayer and fasting."
o Matthew 18:11 - "For the Son of
man is come to save that which was lost."
o Matthew 23:14 - "Woe unto you,
scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a
pretense make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater
damnation."
o Mark 7:16 - "If any man have
ears to hear, let him hear."
o Mark 9:44 - "Where their worm
dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."
o Mark 9:46 - "Where their worm
dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."
o Mark 11:26 - "But if ye do not
forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your
trespasses."
o Mark 15:28 - "And the scripture
was fulfilled, which saith, And He was numbered with the transgressors."
· Revelation 22:18-19 “If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
·
Proverbs
30:5-6
“Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in
Him. Add thou not unto His words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a
liar.”
