Prophecy Class: Day 20 - Loving the Light - 8 Evidentiary Actions

The Greatest Threat, in the Last Days...

WHAT IS THE GREATEST THREAT, IN THE LAST DAYS?

• Nuclear War – WWIII?
• Economic Doom – the loss of financial security/job?
• Persecution / Martyrdom?

Perspective:

·   Yahweh says, “don’t fear him that killeth the body… rather fear Him that kills both body and soul…” – the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The  single  most important  reason we breathe is to LIVE…  Our life here isn’t living…  this is probation… living is what comes next.

Deception is the single biggest threat!

·   To be protected from darkness, we must love the Light (Word of Yahweh)

·   John 3:19-20 - And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.”

o   To Love Light = Loving Truth found in the Word of Yahweh

o   To love darkness = Choosing sin and rejecting reproof, being unwilling to change to align one’s life with the Word of Yahweh.

·   John 12:35 – “Then Yahshua said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.”

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 – “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 

·       Deceivableness of unrighteousness = eternal Death

·       Deceivableness of unrighteousness is causes by not loving Truth

·       Loving Truth = eternal Life / Salvation

·       The Path to Life is walked by living in every ray of Light that we are given (it’s a blessing) – and continuing to seek more Light.

o   Seek Light (Truth) and never reject an opportunity for Light

A love of Truth is Heaven’s only Shield! When we love Truth (Light), Yahweh promises we will be protected from Deception. When we fail to love the Truth, we will surely be deceived – because we cannot outsmart “strong delusions”.

How to Love the Truth - 8 Actions:

1.  Shema – Truth is more than a teaching or an idea. It is a Person -Yahshua – John 14:6; John 8:12   The first way to love Truth is the love the Source. Yahshua said (Matthew 22:37-38) that the first, great commandment was the Shema (Hebrew for “hear, understand” and “obey”)	Deuteronomy 6:4-9: “Hear, O Israel: YAHWEH our God is one YAH. And thou shalt love YAHWEH thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart. And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children...”	What does this have to do with our love of Light? The Torah (of which the Shema is the heart) is the Scriptural Source of all Light. It is the Light-test for all doctrine and it is the radiant point, through which the Light of Truth illumines every other Scriptural Passage (Proverbs 6:23; Isaiah 8:20). When we fully love Yahweh, placing our love for Him as centrally in our thoughts and homes as these verses instruct, will increasingly be keeping the entire rest of the Torah. True love is the fulfilling of the Law (see John 14:23 and Romans 13:10).

2.     Turn from Darkness and Behold Light – By beholding we are changed – so, beholding Light changes our character to be like Yahweh: 1 John 1:5; Yah enlightens us (Psalm 18:28).	Acts 26:18: (God comes to each person, through the presentation of Light/Truth) “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to Light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”	When Yahweh shines the Light of Truth upon us, we have two choices. We can either shrink from the Light and seek the shadows… or we can turn from darkness unto Light.   To turn, we must obey, live by the Light we are given.
3.     Seek to Expose areas of Hidden Darkness in your heart… Perspective: would you rather know about the darkness now? Or would you rather discover it on Judgment Day?	Jeremiah 5:1 - “Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the Truth; and I will pardon it.” Psalm 139:23-24  “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:  And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”	When you seek, you will find… In seeking to find Truth and in asking Yahweh to reveal”   In continuing to ask Yahweh to reveal areas of our lives that are out of harmony with Torah and His Will, He will continue to deliver us from Death. He only removes that which is destructive. And His blessing grows in our lives, the more we align with His Truth.

4.             Behold the Light… This is a daily necessity – we must eat of the Word – and in so doing we are not only nourished (spiritually), but also we behold. Thoughts become actions… Actions become habits… Habits become character…	2 Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of Yahweh, are changed into the same Image from glory to Glory, even as by the Spirit of Yahweh.” Psalm 101:3 “I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.”	If we behold the Light, we are transformed. If we behold darkness, that is what we will emulate.   We choose in every area that we control over, to behold the Light…  And Yahweh makes up for the rest (the things that are out of our control).
5.             Repent for any hate/bitterness towards others – and love others… Since Yahshua is the Light of the world, it makes sense that we cannot truly love the Light unless we also love and emulate the Fruits of the Spirit. According to Scripture we cannot walk in the Light holding hate or bitterness towards another.	1 John 2:9-11 - “He that saith he is in the Light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the Light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.”	The 1 Corinthians 13 “love”-pattern is the final rung of the “ladder” 2 Peter 1:5-7. We can do all things – even love porcupines – in Christ Who strengthens us… And bitterness is defeated in “the second mile”.

6.               Read and Memorize Yahweh’s Word… Since Yahshua is the Light of the world, it makes sense that we cannot truly love the Light unless we also love and emulate the Fruits of the Spirit.	Psalm 119:11 - “Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin (will have strength not to sin) against Thee.” Psalm 119:105 - “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”	Reading and memorizing (and engrafting) Scripture is vital to increasing our enlightenment, strengthening the Heavenly Shield of Light which guards our souls.
7.               Put on the Armor of Light… This is a daily prayer. We ask Yahweh to put upon us the Armor of Light. (Ephesians 6 indicates all the parts of the Armor of Light)	Romans 13:12 - “The night is far spent (the darkness is great, since the hour is late), the Day is at hand (Christ will soon return): let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the Armour of Light.”	We are daily in battle, under attack, with the threat of deception…  Considering this, we should pray every day (recommended first thing in the morning) for Yahweh to suit us up in His Armor.
8.               Keep a “single” eye… We are tempted to have a division of heart… One hand on the world and one hand on Heaven…  But this makes it impossible to wear the Light Shield. We need to be “all in” for Yahweh and Truth.	Matthew 6:22-23 “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!”	Even a chameleon cannot catch its prey without focusing both eyes upon its goal. We need to seek Light and Truth wholeheartedly, without being “double-minded”. Pursuing Light is total commitment.
