Today we continued our study of Minor Prophets - specifically, we are studying Habakkuk - Chapter 2, which we started today.
Today, we concluded our studies of Habakkuk 2 and started our study of Habakkuk chapter 3.
Habakkuk
3:1-2 “A prayer of
Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth. O Yahweh, I have heard Thy
speech, and was afraid: O Yahweh, revive Thy Work in the midst of the
years, in the midst of the years make known; in Wrath remember mercy.”
· Upon Shigiononth – with
a dithyramb (a vehement choral hymn sung for worship) or a rambling
poem.
· The Shigionoth is the
hymn of praise that resists the trial. It comes against the spirit of darkness
and heaviness. It is surety that Yahweh is working something good in the trial…
and Good prevails, because God is strong and good. It says, “there may be a
storm going on around me, but I will (by faith) see the victory Yahweh is
bringing. I will praise Him for His victory and deliverance – even before I see
them.”
The worksheet is not posted, as we will complete all of the studies of Habakkuk on this worksheet set, and then I will post the completed worksheet. There are three chapters of Habakkuk.
