Yahshua came as the Righteous
Branch, who lived in obedient Service to Yahweh. As such, He fully kept the
Torah. In fact, it was because He lived in obedient service to Yahweh that He
is the True Branch – the authentic Messiah.
And He, who is our Example in all
things as it says in 1 Peter 2:21, tells us to follow Him into obedient
Servanthood of the Heavenly Father (John 12:26). We are called to follow Yahshua
in servanthood.
- 1 John 2:3-6 - “He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He (Yahshua) walked.” – Torah obedience.
- John 14:15 - “If ye love Me, keep My Commandments.”
- Matthew
22:37-40 – The Law is in two categories, which are: love for Yahweh
and love for our fellow man.
- John 14:21-24 - “He that hath My Commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me.”
- 1 John 3:4 – sin is
transgression of the Law
- John 14:6 – Yahshua is
the only Way of Salvation – He is the Way, Truth and Life.
Matthew
5:17-19 – Yahshua did not come to destroy the Law or Prophets (OT), He
came to fulfill it… And one jot or
tittle will not pass till heaven and earth pass.
What does
“fulfill” mean? Fully keep it. Yahshua didn’t fulfill the Law by
nailing it to His Cross… He fulfilled it
by fully keeping it / full obedience / which is His Branch fulfillment Work – Messiah
as the Servant.
What does
this tell us about Yahshua? He fulfilled the Zechariah 3:8 Branch prophecy which
was of bond-service – full obedience to the Torah. Scripture says “all have
sinned and come short of the glory of Yah.” There is no other person on earth –
anti-messiah included – who could fulfill the Zechariah 3:8 requirement because
no other (other than Yahshua) has fully obeyed Torah in everything without any
exceptions. We are called to follow His Example… but we have sinned… So we need the Saviour’s Blood to cleanse and
His empowerment to then walk in obedience. No human can fulfill this role.
Yahshua is the Righteous Branch – the True Messiah. And as proof of this, Yahshua was indeed the OBEDIENT SERVANT, who fully kept the Torah, and demonstrated what obedient servanthood looks like, for all of us to follow.
