Spiritual Warfare - Spirit of Jezebel:
·1 & 2 Kings – we find a lot about the wicked queen of Israel called Jezebel… She was a Phoenician princess / priestess that married Israel’s king Ahab – But Jezebel is also the name of a demonic spirit - one which manifests with the characteristics of the Biblical Jezebel.
o Jezebel is idolatrous and controlling and even murderous
o Revelation 2:18-29...
Revelation 2:20 “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce My servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.”
Israel’s experiences in the Wilderness (Egypt, being bondage to sin and Canaan, being the Promised Land) are prophetic shadows for the End-times:
· 1 Corinthians 10:11 “Now all these things happened unto them (Israel in the Wilderness) for ensamples (examples): and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.”
oDemons are sometimes referred to as “wild beasts”, in Bible prophecy
§ Isaiah 13:21 “But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls (Lilyth, a ruling demonic spirit, which manifested as Semiramis) shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.”
o Deliverance from demonic bondage doesn’t take place in one deliverance session (anointing)
§ Deuteronomy 7:22 “And Yahweh thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.”
§ Exodus 23:29-30 “I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee. By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.”
To “suffer Jezebel” is to let the spirits stay (and the person bringing them) while there is no “fruits meet for repentance” (Matthew 3:7-8).
Jezebel infiltrates the Body of Christ in order to seduce believers – starting with the leadership – into committing fornication (most importantly, spiritually) – Jezebel’s purpose is to cause the Believer to choose sin – and thereby lose the Heavenly anointing.
Characteristics of Jezebel:

It works to get close to the leader-
fast

Jezebel seeks position in the Body

Jezebel seeks positions of
authority, not service
o Seeking leadership, cannot stand to
be in the shadows…

Jezebel seeks to create soul-ties
o Jezebel looks for hurt, wounded, and
discontent people
·
Jezebel flows in personal prophecy
o This spirit works in giving
“prophetic words” of personal prophecy…
Discern the fruits!!! Jezebel’s prophecies feed ego and pride, flattery…
·
Jezebel seeks private ministry
o Dividing the Body with “private”
messages that breed suspicion and doubt… doesn’t edify or strengthen
·
Jezebel seeks information
o The purpose of this “information”
quest is control and manipulation… finding weakness…
