Spiritual Discretion - Dogs and Swine
Matthew 7:6 – “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”
Discretion is Required in Carrying Gospel - We are called to carry forth the Gospel Commission to the whole world (Elijah Message – Malachi 4:1-4; Everlasting Gospel – Torah)… But we aren’t to give it to “dogs” or “swine”… So obviously, we must discern these heart conditions clearly, when they are present… When present it’s a prayer matter, not a time for dumping the whole Truth.
· People are spiritually unclean in our
own “righteousness”… To be unclean is to have unconfessed, unrepented of sin in
the life.
§ Isaiah 64:6 “But we are all as an unclean thing,
and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf;
and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”
§ Leviticus 26:40-42 “If they shall confess their
iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they
trespassed against Me, and that also they have walked contrary unto Me… if then
their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment
of their iniquity: Then will I remember My Covenant with Jacob, and also My
Covenant with Isaac, and also My Covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I
will remember the land.”
§ Isaiah 35:8 “And an highway shall be there, and
a Way, and it shall be called The Way of Holiness; the
unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the
wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.”
· The unclean is one of the groups of
people in the final Judgment: Yahshua will pronounce:
o The Unsaved Groups
§ He that is unjust… This is the group
who not made a claim on Yahshua’s Sacrifice, they have not claimed Yahshua as
their Saviour… They are not Justified.
§ He that is filthy… in Greek it is rhupoō
(G4510) “to soil, that is, (intransitively) to become dirty
(morally)”
· Proverbs
26:11 “As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a
fool returneth to his folly.” – a Dog goes back to the sinfulness from which it
was delivered. This a rejection of the Sanctification process.

Peter 2:22 “But it is happened unto them according
to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the
sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.”

The Way of Holiness is portrayed in
the Sanctuary Holy Place – that is the Room of Sanctification.
§ The
Table of Shewbread – represents daily eating from the Word (Scripture)
§ The
Altar of Incense – Prayer (singing, repentance, intercession, communion)
§ The
Menorah – indwelling of the Spirit and the life lived according to Yahweh’s
Word
o The Saved Groups
§ He that is holy… translated without
death
· Romans_6:19
I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as
ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto
iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto
holiness.
· Romans_6:22
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your
fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
§ He that is righteous… the saints
raised from the dead
· Abraham is the father of the
righteous… The righteous are to be
raised at the first resurrection
· Ezekiel 22:26 “Her priests have violated My Law,
and have profaned Mine holy Things: they have put no difference between the
Holy and profane, neither have they showed difference between the unclean
and the Clean, and have hid their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am
profaned among them.”
§ Dogs break God’s Law (are inclined
this way)
· Philippians 3:2 “Beware of dogs, beware of
evil workers...”
o
Evil
is defined as Torah-breaking
§ Dogs are Without (Life) having
rejected Yahweh’s Commandments
· Revelation 22:14-15 - “Blessed are they that do His
Commandments, that they may have right to the Tree of Life, and may enter in
through the Gates into the City. For without are dogs, and
sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth
and maketh a lie.”
§ The Hebrew word for “dog” means
“prostitute” -
· Spiritual prostitution is idolatry –
idolatry is spiritual adultery/fornication
· Deuteronomy 23:17-18 “There shall be no whore of the
daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel. Thou shalt not
bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of YHWH thy El
for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto YHWH thy El.”
· Dogs are Cruel and Persecutory

Kings 8:13 – a “dog” is cruel to another level – enjoying people’s suffering

22:16 & 19-20 - “For dogs have compassed Me: the assembly of
the wicked have enclosed Me: they pierced My Hands and My Feet.” “But be not
thou far from me, O YHWH: O my strength, haste Thee to help Me. Deliver my soul
from the sword; my darling (only Son) from the power of the dog.”
