Prophecy Class: Day 18 - The Shield of Truth

The Greatest Threat, in the Last Days...

WHAT IS THE GREATEST THREAT, IN THE LAST DAYS?

  • Nuclear War – WWIII?
  • Economic Doom – the loss of financial security/job?
  • Persecution / Martyrdom?

Perspective:

·   Yahweh says, “don’t fear him that killeth the body… rather fear Him that kills both body and soul…” – the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The  single  most important  reason we breathe is to LIVE…  Our life here isn’t living…  this is probation… living is what comes next.

Deception is the single biggest threat!

·   To be protected from darkness, we must love the Light (Word of Yahweh)

·   John 3:19-20 - And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.”

o   To Love Light = Loving Truth found in the Word of Yahweh

o   To love darkness = Choosing sin and rejecting reproof, being unwilling to change to align one’s life with the Word of Yahweh.

·   John 12:35 – “Then Yahshua said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.”

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 – “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

·       Deceivableness of unrighteousness = eternal Death

·       Deceivableness of unrighteousness is causes by not loving Truth

·       Loving Truth = eternal Life / Salvation

·       The Path to Life is walked by living in every ray of Light that we are given (it’s a blessing) – and continuing to seek more Light.

o   Seek Light (Truth) and never reject an opportunity for Light

A love of Truth is Heaven’s only Shield! When we love Truth (Light), Yahweh promises we will be protected from Deception. When we fail to love the Truth, we will surely be deceived – because we cannot outsmart “strong delusions”.

Zechariah 8:19 – “…Therefore love the Truth and peace.” (“Mark the perfect man for the end of that man is peace”)

·   Romans 13:12 - “The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the Armour of Light.”

The Single Greatest Blessing Yahweh Can Bestow Upon Anyone is the Gift of LIGHT!

·   James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of Lights, with Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

·   When God shines the Light of Truth upon us, we have two choices. We can either shrink from the Light and seek the shadows once again; or we can turn from the darkness unto the Light.

·   If we would be protected from deception by the Shield of Light, the first necessary step is to turn from darkness unto Light, as Scripture says in

·   Acts 26:18: To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in Me.”

·   John 8:12 “Then spake Yahshua again unto them, saying, I am the Light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the Light of Life.”

Matthew 4:13-17 “Now when Yahshua had heard that John was cast into prison, He departed into Galilee;  And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum… The people which sat in darkness saw great Light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death Light is sprung up. From that time Yahshua began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”

Capernaum was the center of Yahshua’ activities in the Galilee and His town during that time. It was also the home town of the apostles Peter, James, Andrew and John, and the tax collector Matthew.

In Matthew 11:23, Yahshua said that Capernaum had been exalted unto Heaven! Why? Consider just the miracles that He performed in or around Capernaum:

-   Miracle of the draught of fishes at Capernaum (Matthew 4:18-22; Mark 1:16-20; Luke 5:1-11).

-   Heals a demoniac at Capernaum (Mark 1:21-28; Luke 4:31-37).

-   Heals Peter’s mother-in-law at Capernaum (Matthew  8:14-17; Mark 1:29-34; Luke 4:38-41).

-   Heals a leper in Galilee (Matthew 8:2-4; Mark 1:40-45; Luke 5:12-16).

-   Heals a paralytic at Capernaum (Matthew 9:2-8; Mark 2:1-12; Luke 5:17-26).

-   Heals a man having a withered hand at Capernaum (Matthew 12:9-14; Mark 3:1-6; Luke 6:6-11).

-   Withdraws from Capernaum to the Sea of Galilee, where he heals many (Matthew 12:15-21; Mark 3:7-12).

-   Delivers the "Sermon on the Mount’’ in Galilee (Matthew 5-7; Luke 6:20-49).

-   Heals the servant of the centurion near Capernaum (Matthew 8:5-13; Luke 7:1-10).

-   Raises to life the daughter of Jairus,

-   Healing of the woman who has the issue of blood at Capernaum (Matthew 9:18-26; Mark 5:22-43; Luke 8:41-56).

-   Heals two blind men, and casts out a spirit who causes muteness at Capernaum (Matthew 9:27-34).

-   Walks on the sea at Galilee (Matthew 14:22-36; Mark 6:45-56; John 6:15-21).

-   Teaches in the synagogue in Capernaum (John 6:22-65).

-   Performs miracle of tribute money in the fish’s mouth (Matthew 17:24-27)

John 12:35-37 “Then Yahshua said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Yahshua, and departed, and did hide Himself from them.  But though He had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on Him.”

The Purpose of the Light Gift:

Matthew 11:20-21 “Then began He to upbraid the cities wherein most of His mighty Works were done, because they repented not:  Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.”

Matthew 11:22-23 “But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the Day of Judgment, than for you. And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto Heaven, shalt be brought down to hell. For if the mighty Works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.”

·  John 1:9 “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.”
