Today we continued studying the first of the 3 Frog Spirits of Revelation 16. Continuing our study of the second frog spirit, which is the spirit of antichrist, in order to understand the work of this spirit, we must study the Branch prophecies - and their fulfillment in Yahshua.
Here are a few highlights from our study today:
Topic Prophecy Scripture:
Revelation 16:12-14 “And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great Day of God Almighty.”
Identity of the Frog Ruling Spirit #2: spirit of antichrist.
· The second frog spirit comes out of the mouth of the beast. So this spirit assists the beast with its demonic goals. To understand this frog spirit's identity and work, we need to know the Messianic prophecies, also known as the Branch prophecies in Scripture - and how Messiah fulfilled them.
Suggestion – memorize the Branch Prophecies and Yahshua’s fulfillment Scriptures.
The Branch Prophecies: 5x in Scripture the word BRANCH appears, translated from the Hebrew Tsemach. Why they are so important?
· They portray the 5-fold ministry of Messiah (aka Christ)
· these are critically important because they prove Yahshua’s Messiahship
· The Branch IS Messiah
THE
MAN BRANCH PROPHECY - Zechariah 6:12 “And
speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man
whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his
place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD.”
· Man – represents Yahshua as the
BRANCH Who is the TEMPLE BUILDER (of Yahweh’s Temple).
Messiah would build the Temple of
Yahweh, in His Role as Man.
· GOSPEL WHICH SHOWS YAHSHUA'S FULFILLMENT
OF THE MAN BRANCH PROPHECY - The Gospel of Luke is focused
on showing Yahshua as the Man.
o Luke shows us why Messiah could take
our place, as the Second Adam, because He was a sinless Man.
· Luke shows us that the obedient Life of Messiah is our Example… He – a Man – walked in full obedience to Yahweh’s Torah, as we can also through the power of God. Just as He was obedient and lived Life through the Power of Heaven, so may we.
· How does the Spirit of
Antichrist attack Yahshua’s Fulfillment of the Son of Man Branch Prophecy?
o The Spirit of Antichrist is behind
the teaching (or doctrine) that Yahshua didn’t build the Temple of Yahweh, and
thus did not fulfill Zechariah 6:12.
o Antichrist is the one who is going
to build a literal temple –
§ 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”
Yahshua did build the Temple of Yahweh!
§ 1 Peter 2:5 “Ye
also, as lively stones, are built up a Spiritual House (Temple), an holy
priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Yahshua
Christ.”
§ 1 Corinthians 3:16 “Know ye not that ye are the
Temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in
you?”
§ Hebrews 9:11-12 - “But when Christ came as high priest
of the good things that have come, He entered the greater and more
perfect Tabernacle not made by hands (that is, not of this
creation). He did not enter by the blood of goats and calves, but He
entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, thus securing
eternal redemption.”
§ Ephesians 2:19-22 - “…You are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with Yahweh’s people and also members of His household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Yahshua Himself as the chief cornerstone. In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy Temple in Yahweh. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.”
·
Yahshua
was the perfect Sacrifice (ended all blood) “He taketh away the first” (animal
blood), that He may establish the Second (Yahshua’s Blood)”, Hebrews 10:9
·
Yahshua
built the perfect Tabernacle – Hebrews 9:11 “the more perfect Tabernacle was
not made with hands.”
So, often
the right interpretation is SPIRITUAL.
·
The
true Messiah built a Spiritual Temple – His Body (extends to His Saved People)
·
The
Antichrist is all about the physical temple – 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
What about
Ezekiel’s Temple prophecy?
·
Ezekiel’s
Temple was Yahweh’s Temple
·
Ezekiel’s
Temple was to have a special Laver – it was the River of the Water of Life that
was to flow out of the Messiah’s Throne…
whoever drank of it was healed…
·
Ezekiel’s
Temple was foretold to be all about animal sacrifices
o
This
means that Ezekiel’s Temple was supposed to be the one Messiah came to, when He
was here!!!
·
This
Temple was never built.
What do we
do with the Ezekiel Temple Prophecy?
·
Most
people (Messianics included) use this Temple Prophecy to justify building the 3rd
Temple and reinstating the animal offerings.
·
Can Yahweh give a Prophecy and then it fails to be fulfilled?
o PROPHECY
CAN FAIL - 1 Corinthians 13:8 “Charity
never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether
there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge,
it shall vanish away.”
o The
story of Jonah and Ninevah is an example of a Yahweh-given prophecy that
failed… because the people repented… Jonah 3:4-5
o Conversely,
the Ezekiel Temple prophecy also failed (and it was a Yahweh-given prophecy)… because the people rebelled…
·
Daniel 9 is key to Yahshua’s Messiahship
– Branch prophecy fulfillments
Daniel 9
says that Jerusalem is done after the 70 weeks, from being the holy City.
Regarding
Jerusalem’s role as the Holy City - a title which it received because it held
the holy Temple of God – Yahshua gave a powerful warning. This prophecy is one
of the most ignored Bible prophecies of all. Yet it was never more vitally
important than it is now. Yahshua Himself said that Jerusalem’s “House” was
left unto it “desolate”.
·
Matthew
23:37-38 - “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem... how often would I have gathered thy
children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens ...and ye would not!
Behold, your House is left unto you desolate.”
·
What
is the “house” to which Yahshua was referring in this prophecy? The word
“HOUSE”, in this passage, is translated from the Greek word οἶκος (Strong’s #
3624). It means: “a dwelling (...literally or figuratively), home, house
(-hold), temple.” According to the Lexical Aids, this word can apply both
to a literal Temple and to a figurative one (we are the Temple of the Living
God) “...to dwell, as God in the temple at Jerusalem (Matt.23:21); to dwell, as
Christ (Eph. 3:17) and the Holy Ghost (James 4:5) in the faithful...”
· Yet
disregarding the prophecies of Daniel (Daniel 11:45), Paul (2 Thessalonians
2:2-3), and Yahshua Himself (Matthew 23:38) is deadly. It prepares us to
worship the Beast and fall a prey to the ultimate Abomination of Desolation.
