Today we continued our in-depth study of Ezekiel 37:15-28, focusing on the prophecy of the Covenant of Peace, also known as the New Covenant:
Eze 37:24 And David My servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in My Judgments, and observe My Statutes, and do them.
Eze 37:25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob My servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince forever.
Eze 37:26 Moreover I will make a Covenant of Peace with them; it shall be an everlasting Covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set My Sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
Eze 37:27 My Tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
Eze 37:28 And the heathen shall know that I Yahweh do sanctify Israel, when My Sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.
The Covenant of Peace, also known as the New Covenant, is not now in effect. It will go into effect on the final Day of Atonement.
“Behold, the days are coming, declares Yahweh, when I will make a New
Covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the Covenant
that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring
them out of the land of Egypt, My Covenant that they broke, though I was their
husband, declares Yahweh. But this is the Covenant that I will make with the
house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put My Law
within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their
God, and they shall be My people. And no longer shall each one teach his
neighbour and each his brother, saying, ‘Know Yahweh,’ for they shall all know Me,
from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will
forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more” [JEREMIAH
31:31-34].
· End-time Details about the New Covenant:
o
Judah and Israel are the two sticks – they are rejoined at the End
of the World…
o
“Behold the days are coming” is an expression referring to the
End…
o
Token of the New Covenant, aka Covenant of Peace: “Yahweh
will put His Law within us and write it on our hearts”. To have the Torah
written on our hearts represents a full nature change… We will no longer be naturally sinners, we
will be like Yahshua – like Adam before the Fall… Where it is easy and according to our natural
heart to be obedient.
o There are Abrahamic Covenant elements…. Yahweh
will be the personal God of His people.
o
In the Days of the New Covenant, missionary work and evangelism
will be a thing of the past… Everyone
will KNOW Yahweh (be in the Marriage Covenant with Him)
o
When the New Covenant goes into effect, Yahweh will not remember
our sins ever again… And our iniquities
of the past will be forever forgiven – this is a part which prophecy tells us
will happen on the Final Day of Atonement.
-Does Yahweh ever remember forgiven sins now? Yes!
· Yahshua, in the "Lord's Prayer" demonstrated that we only receive forgiveness from Yahweh if we forgive others for their (lesser) offenses against us. Yahshua taught this by praying: "...Forgive us our debts (sins) as we forgive our debtors”…
· In the parable of the wicked servant, the Master forgave him an
astronomical debt, and he left the Master’s presence and went out and found
someone who owed him a day’s wage (small amount), demanded payment, and when
the guy couldn’t pay instantly and requests mercy and time…
The Day when Yahweh will NEVER remember our sins again (past forgiven sins) is the Final Day of Atonement.
