Welcome to Prophecy Class! Today was our first class of the 24-25 school year and it is such a joy to have each and every one of you on this study journey with me this year!
We are starting off the year with an in-depth study of Ezekiel 37:15-28. This section of Ezekiel's visions includes several End-time prophecies, such as: the Two Sticks, the Greater Exodus, King David and the Millennial Reign, the Identity of Israel, and the Covenant of Peace.
We began our studies today by looking at the prophecy of the Two Sticks:
Eze 37:15 The Word of Yahweh came again unto me,
saying,
Eze 37:16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and
write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then
take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for
all the house of Israel his companions:
Eze 37:17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they
shall become one in thine hand.
Eze 37:18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto
thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?
Eze 37:19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Sovereign GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in Mine Hand.
Who are the two sticks of Ezekiel 37? Judah and Israel (aka Joseph or
Ephraim)
What tribes are part of the second stick? Joseph, Ephraim and Israel
(Northern 10 Tribes)
What is the stick called when the two are joined? Israel (the kingdom
of Israel)
How did the sticks come to be two? Through a punishment upon Solomon’s
house for his idolatry… Israel
disappeared through a punishment upon the Northern 10 tribes for their
idolatry…
When will the two sticks be joined together again? In the end of the
world (just prior to Yahweh setting up His Tabernacle with us) – Note: Olive
trees represent Israel. Sacred trees represent character qualities of the
saved.
