Today, we continued our study of the ninth vision of Zechariah, found in Zechariah 7:4-16. This new vision and study will be covering the scattering of Israel. Key points will be the identity of Israel, in Bible Prophecy. We will also be studying the scattering, in the past, and how this prophecy will take place in the future - in the End-times.
Today, we read from 1 Kings 11 where it explains how Israel became divided into two parts, which were:
- Israel (10 northern tribes) - with the capital being Samaria
- and Judah (2 tribes of Judah and Benjamin, which combined and came to be called "the Jews") - with the capital being Jerusalem
From the point of this division (which occurred early in the reign of Solomon's son) the term "Israel" no longer included Judah. And the term "the Jews" does not apply to "Israel".
LAST CLASS OF THE YEAR: May 31
Prophecy Club 3 has run from August of 2022 and will be ending on Wednesday, May 31. At that point, we will be taking a break for summer and the new Prophecy-Current Events class will begin on Monday, September 4, 2023.
It's been a wonderful year studying with you all! And I very much look forward to joining you for in-depth prophecy studies again in September (right after Labor Day)!
