Today, we completed our study of Zechariah's 7th vision, found in Zechariah 6:1-8. We concluded our study of the Pale horse. This horse, according to Zechariah 6:5, is a spirit from the Presence of Yahweh. Yet, in Revelation it tells us that the Rider is Death, and Hell follows it... In other words, Hell follows the ride of this horse!
How can a spirit from Yahweh advance the cause of Hell? It doesn't! So, today we focused on looking at the Scriptural presentation of Hell. In short, we are seeing that Hell is the Fiery Judgment of Yahweh, which is His Glory and Presence, that consumes the wicked...
The Scriptural evidence of this debunks the common myths about Hell, with the devil walking in the fire roasting the wicked, whom he turns on a pitch-fork spit... This view is pagan and entirely unscriptural!... As we are seeing/studying now.
The fires of Hell, which are sent by Yahweh, will burn up the devil himself, as is shown in the Mazzaroth and in Ezekiel 28! This is why Nahum 1:9 says "affliction" (suffering, death, trouble, and the adversary) will not rise a second time. This is wonderful news!
As we found in our study, Hell is two things, in Scripture:
HELL FIGURATIVELY - Hell is the name of the devil's kingdom... Why is his kingdom called Hell? Because, Hell means FIRE OF JUDGMENT. And it's like those marked for Hell's Fire (Yahweh's consuming Judgment Fire) are proverbially wearing T-shirts which say, "I will die in the Fires of Hell". To be in the kingdom of Hell means one is marked for destruction.
Evidence that Hell is the Fiery Judgment which comes from Yahweh:
- “For our ‘God is a consuming fire’” (Hebrews 12:29).
- “Be careful not to forget the covenant of the Lord your God that he made with you; do not make for yourselves an idol in the form of anything the Lord your God has forbidden. For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God” (Deuteronomy 4:23-24).
- “But be assured today that the Lord your God is the one who goes across ahead of you like a devouring fire. He will destroy them; he will subdue them before you. And you will drive them out and annihilate them quickly, as the Lord has promised you” (Deuteronomy 9:3).
- And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 2 Thessalonians 2:8
- “And fire came down from God out of Heaven and devoured them.” Revelation 20:9
- "And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone." Revelation 19:20
- "And will throw them into the furnace of Fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 13:50
HELL LITERALLY - Hell is not currently a place. When Hell becomes a place, it will be planet earth, which will be burning from the brightness/glory of Yahweh, Whose Presence is a consuming Fire, according to Scripture.
Since the Fires of Hell are from Yahweh - Fire which consumes sin - the devil could not exist in its Fire. He is not stronger than the Fire of Yahweh!
At the Second Coming, the living wicked will burn in this Fire. This is their Eternal Judgment. They will never live again, nor be judged again. Everyone receives ONE JUDGMENT: Eternal Life or Eternal Death. Those wicked, who are living at the Second Coming, will be burned in the Hell Fire.
Those who are wicked who are not alive (starting from Cain on down through to the end of time) at the Second Coming, will be resurrected after the 1000 years. These wicked will be burned along with the devil and demons after the 1000 years are finished, according to Scripture and the Mazzaroth.
Evidence that a literally burning Hell is a temporary place - existing only until the wicked/devil himself are fully burned up:
- Malachi 4:1-3 - the wicked are reduced to ashes.
- Ezekiel 28:18-19 - the king of Tyrus (Satan himself) will be burned and reduced to ashes - after which he will never exist anymore.
- Death and Hell itself are destroyed (forever gone) in the Fire of Yahweh's Judgment - Revelation 20:14
- Revelation 12:12 - "Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time."
- Revelation 20:7-9 - Yahweh will destroy the devil and his demons, after the 1000 years are finished.
- Sodom and Gomorrah are a shadow-picture of the Judgment Fire of Yahweh. These cities are reduced to ashes and no longer exist. Nothing wicked may endure the Righteous and Holy Fire of Yahweh. To see Sodom and Gomorrah today, see the following Ron Wyatt video:
