Today, we continued our study of the first vision of Zechariah, recorded in Zechariah 1:8-10. In this vision, the prophet Zechariah saw a red horse and rider stand among the myrtle trees in the "bottom". We studied the connection between the twilight time of Zechariah's first vision, and the "beginning of sorrows" of Matthew 24.
The time in which the Red Horse is standing among the myrtle trees, from Zechariah's first vision, is a specific moment in earth’s history… “Bottom”
is “the shade”, which is “the twilight shadows in the time when it is just
beginning to grow dark”. Darkness represents wickedness, which will be gaining
ground in the Last Days… Darkness also
represents full on persecution and the threat of death.
So,
the myrtle trees will be “in the bottom”, when the final persecution is just
almost ready to start. There is the threat of death, but the hunt has not fully
begun… Threat and danger, but not the final time of trouble.
When the red
horse of Zechariah 1/Revelation 6 is standing among the myrtle tree people, it
is a prophetic sign to the early End-time people of Yahweh (the watchmen, the
Bride is the one who wakes the sleeping virgins).
What is the
sign which warns that we are in the “shadows” and full-on darkness is coming
immediately after? (Matthew 24:14-17) – The shadows are the time when it is
twilight – not yet fully dark. Dark in this context is the full on time of the
End – full time of Trouble… And Yahshua gave a statement about this twilight
time in Matthew 24, in which He called it “the beginning of sorrows” and the
time in which “the End is not yet” (but soon). So, we need to use Matthew 24 as
a key to understand the first vision of Zechariah.
The
Abomination of Desolation is connected – by Yahshua in Matthew 24 – with the
“beginning of sorrows”… So… one could see that the Abomination of
Desolation is the end portion of the beginning of sorrows – or the twilight.
What do we
know about the Abomination of Desolation?
·
Daniel 8:11-14 – the Abomination of Desolation is
called the transgression of the Sanctuary. It is connected with the 2300 Day
timeline (which Yahshua said, of the
Abomination of Desolation, the days would be shortened… This cannot be the
timeline itself, but would relate to the Abomination itself.)
·
Daniel 11:15-16 – The King of the North will consume
the Glorious Land (which is the former holy land, Israel, Jerusalem).
·
Daniel 11:31 – The King of the North is one who
places the Abomination of Desolation and pollutes what should be Yahweh’s
Sanctuary.
·
Daniel 11:45 – The King of the North will plant
the “tabernacle of his palace” (the capitol of his rulership) between the seas
in the Glorious Holy Mountain – aka the Temple Mount.
·
Mark 13:14 – The Abomination of Desolation is
a sign, which must be acted upon and recognized by the people of
Yahweh… Now in the vision of Zechariah
we knew that the Red Horse is a sign to the myrtle trees… Specifically, a sign that is seen in twilight
time, before the Red Horse rides. By Matthew 24… we then see a suggested
connection between the Red Horse standing in the myrtle trees and the
Abomination of Desolation.

“But when ye shall see the Abomination of Desolation, spoken of by Daniel the
prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then
let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains.”

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 – The Beast (son of perdition) will sit in what should be Yahweh’s Temple, pretending that he is
God.
·
“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that
day shall not come, except there come a
falling away first, and that man of sin
be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth
himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the Temple of God, shewing himself that he is
God.”
So,
literally, when does the red horse stand among the myrtle trees? The Red Horse,
representing the Mark of the Beast (in full form) is among the myrtle trees
when the warning sign is given to Yahweh’s
people… The warning is to flee… Who
sees the warning? Who heeds it? ONLY the “myrtle trees”! So the Red Horse standing
in the myrtle trees is The Abomination of Desolation. The Abomination of Desolation
is the sign that indicates that full darkness is about to descend and the
people of Yahweh need to flee (specifically those in Judea).
