In today's session, we finished working on our worksheets on the first layer of fulfillment of the 70 Week Prophecy, from Daniel 9:24-27.
We discussed how Romans 9-11 were specifically addressing the first fulfillment of this prophecy. The holy people who were "cut off" in the first round were the literal "Jews"... And the holy city which was cut off was the literal city of Jerusalem.
As Paul says in Romans 11, the Gentile converts are the wild olive branch, and the Jewish converts are the natural olive branch - both of whom need to be grafted into the Olive Vine (stalk), which is Yahshua, Messiah.

In our class discussion, we were also talking about the confirmation of the Covenant. The Covenant is one of the most significant topics in all of Scripture. Keys points on the Covenant include:
- Only partakers of the Covenant are saved.
- We are not naturally a partaker of the Covenant.
- The Covenant needed to be established with Abraham and his "seed" because we were not naturally saved.
- Thus, the reasons for and need for the Covenant go all the way back to Eden - to what happened to mankind when he/she partook of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil - the point of the Fall...

I have a question about the temples. We have three temples which are built before Yeshua comes on the scene. Solomon's temple, Zerubbabel's temple (during the time of Ezra/Nehemiah) and then Herod's temple. Can you explain how Zerubbabel's temple plays into the role of prophecy? I understand Solomon's temple's destruction, and I understand the destruction of Herod's temple during the time of Yeshua. My question is with what happened to Zerubbabel's temple.
