Prophecy Club - Session 25

In today's Prophecy Club session, we looked at the vision in Daniel 2 of the image.

This image is an overview, sort of a zoomed-out, macroscopic view of End-time prophecy. We are not yet placing this vision on the timeline, but we are now looking at it in more depth.

In our overview study of the image of Daniel 2, we found that the image is all still standing (from the head to the toes) until Yahweh's Stone Kingdom smashes it, at the End of the world (Daniel 2:44-45). This means that every kingdom represented in the image is still making an impact on our world until the very End.

Bearing this in mind, we took a look at how the golden head of Babylon and the silver chest of Persia are still influencing our world today, as follows:

BABYLON:

• We know that ancient Babylon, as a civilization, fell when Persia arose to power in 538 BC. But while the civilization fell as a physical kingdom, the spiritual kingdom of Babylon is still alive and well

• In fact, Babylon is the "brains" of the false system, driving it through the time of the feet.
• Babylon doesn't ultimately fall until the End of the World (Revelation 14:8).

Considering this, we had to ask, in what ways does ancient Babylon still influence and govern the pagan world today? 

• Babylon is known as the "Mother Religion" - and the pagan days (and ways) of worship which originated in ancient Babylon are the "Christian" holidays (which comes from holy days) of today, including: Christmas, Easter, Lent, All Hallows Eve, Valentine's Day...  All are from ancient Babylon. This is one of many ways in which Babylon is still the brains of the rebellious kingdoms represented in the image of Daniel 2.

WINTER BREAK: 

We will be having a break (Winter Break) beginning on Wednesday, December 16 through January 2 of 2021. This means that in the upcoming week (December 14-18) we will only have Prophecy Club 1x, on Tuesday, December 15. There will be no Prophecy Club meeting after that until Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
