In today's Prophecy Club session, we continued our study of Daniel 9:24-26, which is the 70 week prophecy giving the timing of Yahshua's Ministry, including the timing of the Crucifixion.
Having established that Yahshua was baptized in 27 AD, we are now able to determine His Crucifixion date based upon this prophecy in Daniel, as the first evidence. There are five evidences to show that Yahshua's ministry (giving us the timing of the Crucifixion) was 490 days (see table above), the rest of which we will be studying in the next session.
As we saw today, Luke 12:49-50 shows (in Messiah's Words) that Messiah's end goal (in His Lamb Role, which John pronounced to have begun at His Baptism) was to "send fire". From water (baptism) to fire (outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost) was 490 literal days, fulfilling the prophecy of Daniel 9:24-26 in literal time.
While the Daniel 9 prophecy was fulfilled (in the second fulfillment) in literal time, the details of it were spiritually fulfilled. This means that the wall and street of Jerusalem which were being built were spiritual. Our worksheets and study today shows the key Scriptures needed to prove this.
