In today's Prophecy Club session, we continued our study of the Jubilees and Sabbaticals.
The following are a few key highlights from our class today:
- We finished our study of Isaiah 61, which is a Jubilee prophecy chapter, listing the End-time blessings of the Jubilee.
- We were also able to show that the End-time events relating to the Second Coming are directly related to the Jubilee prophecies - making a clear connection between the final Jubilee and Messiah's Return.
- Next, we examined the idea that Jubilees occur in a 49 year cycle (meaning you add or subtract 49 from a given Jubilee year in order to calculate prior or future Jubilees). This idea came in during the Maccabean time, which was in the late BCs...
- Prior to the introduction of a 49 year Jubilee cycle, which is now widely accepted and believed, the old way was to calculate Jubilees as full 50 year cycles, which was exemplified in the count to Pentecost.
- For our studies, we will go with the old way - as the old ways are the right ways. So, we will be calculating Jubilees based upon adding or subtracting 50.
From that basis, we will next be looking at the year of Messiah's Crucifixion to determine precisely when it was - and to show that Yahshua died in a Jubilee year. Then, based upon this one confirmed Jubilee point, we will be ready to add 50's in order to calculate the year of the future Jubilee... Exciting study coming!

Hi all, just wanted to bring attention to the thing that initially tripped me up on doing this 50 count. this was thinking that the sabbath year had to be on the sabbath day as in the weekly calendar. It wasn't until i saw that it didn't need to be that i got it. EG if you continue this count for a few more 50 cycles the sabbath year changes to different day places each time. eg the next 50 will have the 7th years on a sunday space and the next on a monday space. but that it ok as they dont have to line up in a calendar line.
